  • Fans give Morata a start

Given Carlo Ancelotti's problems finding his ideal eleven (he has not fielded the same team in any of the 10 games played by Real Madrid in the league and Champions League), MARCA.com put a survey to its readers and gave them the chance to put themselves in the Italian's shoes and pick their own starting eleven.
With over 100,000 votes counted, the ideal eleven is composed of Casillas, Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso, Modric, Isco, Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Morata.
Carvajal wins the right back place from Arbeloa, Varane replaces Pepe in the centre, Casillas received more votes than López for the spot between the posts, and Morata is the preferred companion for Cristiano Ronaldo up front, instead of Benzema.
Furthermore, the fans would rather have Bale in the starting eleven than Di María. Cristiano Ronaldo received the most votes (101,826 out of the 105,179 who voted included him in their starting eleven), closely followed by Sergio Ramos. They were followed, in order, by Marcelo, Isco, Varane, Carvajal and Xabi Alonso.
The fewest votes went to Jesús Fernández, the third-choice keeper, and to Fabio Coentrao. Khedira, a regular in Ancelotti's line-ups, received the second fewest votes in midfield, only ahead of Casemiro.
