Carlo Ancelotti could be considering retirement after his time as Real Madrid manager. During an interview with 'Sky Sport Italia' the Italian coach said that he's considering the possibility of giving up on management once his spell with Real Madrid comes to an end.
Carlo Ancelotti currently has a contract with Real Madrid until 2016, and it seems that the Santiago Bernabéu could be the last stop on his journey as a manager.
Asked about the possibility of ending up in charge of Roma or the Italian national team once his time at Real Madrid comes to an end, Ancelotti was clear: "It's not the first time this possibility has been mentioned to me. But the only thing I can say on the subject is that I'll think about my future when I finish with Real Madrid. I can't rule out the possibility of bowing out as a manager after this experience", he said.
Having spent around twenty years in various prestigious dugouts, Ancelotti is starting to think that his career as a coach is coming to an end. Aged 54, he's not sure if he wants to keep going for much longer. Having spent time in charge of such big clubs as Juventus (1999-2001), AC Milan (2001-09), Chelsea (2009-11), Paris Saint-Germain (2012-13) and Real Madrid (2013-), the Italian is starting to think that it may be time to call time on his spell as a manager.
