Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Gareth Bale will be available to play against Málaga this Saturday (4pm Spanish time) in the Bernabéu. Varane however is out: “He won’t be fit for the match, though he might be for Wednesday”. The French defender’s knee, which was operated on this summer, became inflamed while on international duty.
The Real Madrid coach also spoke about Benzema, and confirmed he was a doubt and hadn’t trained today. “Benzema has a knock on his calf and he hasn’t trained, we’ll see how he is tomorrow. He’s in the squad and we’ll take a decision tomorrow. The players have come back fine from international duty, the team is ready and we’re starting an important week”.
Ancelotti also confirmed that Isco, Illarramendi and Khedira would start tomorrow.
