If you play them they always repay you

Álvaro Morata and Jesé Rodríguez both had similar journeys to football's elite. One phone call set the paths in motion of two players who are now in demand at Real Madrid and 'La Rojita', and closely followed by Del Bosque.
The man who made the call was Real Madrid and Spain legend Míchel - now in Athens, where he coaches Olympiacos -, who is also monitoring the two young sensations he recruited for 'Los Blancos' when he worked at Valdebebas.
"Morata was a personal choice of mine. I saw him at a tournament with Getafe. I thought he looked promising and enquired about him. We spoke to his father and he was more concerned about how the youngsters were trained, who was going to educate his son and the conditions the team would be playing in. I was surprised, because that's not usually the way", he recalls fondly.
"Jesé was more down to scouting. We had a scout from the Canary Islands, Sixto Alfonso, who told us about him. He was then seen by Palmero and Enrique Magdaleno, who was the specialist. Ramis and I finally decided".
Míchel finished by speaking about the pair's future: "They will have a long spell in the first team. They are products of Real's youth team. If you play them they always repay you. They are both top-level players and will be at the Bernabéu for years to come".
