Cristiano-Karim:It’s Champions League time again and Madrid go into their next game full of confidence and boasting the deadliest attack in the competition. Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have scored seven goals in the first two games played in the competition since Carlo Ancelotti took charge, against Galatasaray and Copenhagen. This they can consider their main trump card as they go in search of their third win in the group stages of the competition.

‘Los Blancos’ will take on Juventus on Wednesday in the Santiago Bernabéu (20.45 hours CET) equipped the Portugual and France internationals, barring any last-minute changes. The Champions League has certainly been their stomping ground, starting with the trip to Turkey and the 1-6 thumping of Galatasaray that saw Cristiano score a hat-trick and Benzema a brace. Fifteen days later the Portuguese forward netted another two against Copenhagen at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s trio of Rooney, Welbeck and Van Persie are the closest rivals in the top scoring stakes, along with Barcelona (Messi has three and Fàbregas, their false nine, two). Close behind are Manchester City’s Negredo, Dzeko and Agüero, with three goals between them, the same number as the Galatasaray front line of Umut Bulut and Drogba, PSG’s duo of Ibrahimovic and Cavani, and Olympiacos striker Mitroglou.
