Fabio Cannavaro

Fabio Cannavaro (Naples, 1973) forms part of both the Real Madrid and Juventus Hall of Fame. He is predicating a very close-run game: "Neither is as strong as last year".

Q. Who are you supporting, who do you want to win?
A. The important thing is for both to go through. Ancelotti is looking to do something different and that takes time. At Juve, after two brilliant years, maybe they are lacking a degree of hunger.

Q. Which team do you see as the favourite?
A. Going on experience, there aren't any favourites in games like these.

Q. What is the biggest threat from the Juventus side?
A. It has one of the best midfields in the world with Pogba, Pirlo and Marchisio. That could be key.

Q. Madrid is not looking good at the moment.
A. It's had a bad start, but there's a long way to go. The team's finding it hard to move on after Mou's departure; he's a manager who makes a big impact. The same has happened in all the teams he's coached.

Q. Its style of play isn't going down well
A. Carlo is a great coach for Madrid.

Q. Do you think Özil's departure is having an affect on Real Madrid's attack?
A. It's hard to find players like Higuaín and him, but the club wanted to sign Bale.

Q. Did Madrid need Bale?
A. He's brilliant. Maybe Madrid needed more skill than speed for what Ancelotti wants to do.

Q. For you, who is the big favourite to win the Champions League?
A. I don't think there is one. Bayern is good, but I liked them better last year. Barcelona isn't the same and Madrid hasn't started well either.
