Real Madrid will play a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the New Year in Dubai. The match will serve, in part, as part of the compensation package Madrid agreed with PSG to release Carlo Ancelotti over the summer. Provisionally, Thursday January 2nd has been pencilled in as the date for the meeting which will part of the Dubai Challenge tournament, possibly to be staged at the Al-Rashid Stadium.
